There are so many TTRPGs in the works ready to release in 2026, but let’s narrow that list down to 9. No particular criteria of why they’re here, order that they appear in, or why it’s that number, just a random 9 which I thought were interesting. If I missed your favorite, put it in the comments below so other people can learn about it!
PS. There is a quiz at the end, but no need to study. It’s just to help you decide which TTRPG to look into in case they ALL sound good to you
Streets of Jade: The Green Bone Saga RPG
First on our list is Streets of Jade: The Green Bone Saga RPG published by Evil Hat Productions. This TTRPG was showcased during GenCon 2025 to much success. The TTRPG itself uses the Paragon system created by John Harper and Sean Nittner. The system uses d4s, d6s, d8s, d10s, and d12s to determine the outcomes of the story, the better your character is at something the higher of dice you roll.
The TTRPG itself is based off of the book series The Green Bone Saga by author Fonda Lee. The Green Bone Saga contains a trilogy of books, as well as a book of short stories and a novella. In the TTRPG, instead of combat in the traditional sense, you are instead fighting against a systemic power. Factions, crime, and political tension are the heart of this series, as well as magically influenced martial arts. Lee herself has earned black belts in both karate and kung fu. As a second generation Asian American, Lee has put all facets of her identity into her different series, and especially into The Green Bone Saga and its upcoming TTRPG.
Streets of Jade recently concluded their playtesting on December 2nd, 2025 and is in the process of gathering feedback. While there is not a specific release date for this, we are expecting its release sometime late 2026.

Godzilla: The Roleplaying Game
Run! It’s Godzilla! It looks like Godzilla, but due to it being a TTRPG it … wait, it still is Godzilla! Godzilla: The Roleplaying Game was showcased at PAX Unplugged by IDW Games alongside new merch for the TTRPG addition to the beloved series. They also had live playtesting sessions for the community to provide their feedback on the game mechanics and story. The system itself is very innovative, using a standard 52 card deck rather than dice.
Godzilla itself needs no introduction (and if you think it does? Where have you been all these years?) so I won’t go into the whole 70 years of history. However, it is super exciting to see an officially licensed Godzilla TTRPG in the making. There have been many indie kaiju (giant monster) themed TTRPGs made in the past few years and I personally am interested to see how the official one will hold up against them.

Eldritch Automata
Speaking of indie kaiju TTRPGS, Eldritch Automata by Gehenna Gaming is a recently apocalyptic TTRPG which draws inspiration from Pacific Rim, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Escaflowne. Blending both kaiju and mecha elements (big monsters and big robots) you must pilot your mech with your team to take down the eldritch monstrosities that seek to destroy you and your world.
Eldritch Automata uses the Year Zero Engine TTRPG system as well as its own original mechanics. Character creation is easy, the action is high, and the biggest enemy you have to face is yourself.

Masks: A New Generation – Second Edition
Masks: A New Generation has been a beloved staple of TTRPG enjoyers for years, especially those who are fans of the PbtA (Powered by the Apocalypse) system. Now, I can hear you ask “if it’s been out for years, why is it on this list?”, well, because they’re coming out with their second edition, that’s why! Masks: A New Generation – Second Edition was announced at GenCon 2025 alongside other projects by Magpie Games. This reboot features updated mechanics and new lore for the world and your characters in it.
But in case you haven’t heard of it …
Released in 2017, Masks is a superhero themed TTRPG where you play young superheroes navigating their everyday and their superhero identities. There are many different character playbooks to choose from and endless possibilities to explore. You only need a few d6s to play, and some friends of course. There has also been a handful of supplemental books released for the first edition, which should be largely backwards compatible with the second edition.
The timeline laid out by Magpie Games is for a quickstart guide to be released in 2026 followed by a new crowdfunding campaign. A quickstart guide allows players to get a structured look at what the new system looks like, and to play a bit for themselves. Overall, this is definitely one to keep an eye on, especially with it’s already well established playerbase.

Twilight Sword
Do you like fantasy games, like Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, or others? If yes, then you’ll LOVE Twilight Sword. Created by the Italian game studio Two Little Mice and published by Free League, Twilight Sword puts you in its new fantasy world complete with magic, monsters, unique playable characters, and treasure. Using its own d12 system you must journey with your companions to bring hope back to the lands you call your home. The system also uses their own tokens and decks of cards for items and enemies.
A feature that I find especially fun is the cooking/brewing system. The free preview (out now!) teases a detailed cooking/brewing mechanic that you can use with any ingredients you find on your travels, whether that’s fruits, meats, vegetables, or even monster parts! Fans of the Legend of Zelda video game series will find familiarity in this, and hopefully they have already learned their lesson of making dubious food.
As of writing this, their BackerKit is live! I highly recommend checking it out and reading through what they’ve got. They’ve already raised over $530,000 and are sure to get the $550K total they need to unlock their last stretch goal. According to their BackerKit page, the expected release in in July 2026.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th edition will be released soon, published by Cubicle 7 Games. Fallout: Lone Wanderer
Fallout Tabletop RPG is also one that has been out for a while (and one I own the whole set to!) but what new thing is coming out for it? A new expansion? Updated rules? Well, kind of, it’s a Solo TTRPG module, Lone Wanderer! That’s right, I don’t have to gather all of my friends to play one of my favorite TTRPGS, now I (and you) can do it in the comfort of your home and finally be free from the forever GM curse because you’re the only one who likes this game. Now, that may be a bit specific of a claim, but I’m sure someone else is in my shoes.
Lone Wanderer will be based on the 2d20 system which will help generate the story for the player. Explore how the wasteland, and you, change as you progress. The publisher, Modiphius, has also confirmed plans to develop and publish more sourcebooks that dive more into the history and geography of the world of Fallout.

Dragon Reactor
We talked about mecha earlier, but what about dragons too? Dragon Reactor is just that. Created by Dinoberry Press in collaboration with 200-Proof Games, this TTRPG is a race against the clock. Every resource you use, every foe slain, every action you take is counting down the time until your story’s end.
Dragon Reactor runs on a pooled d6 system and has its demo out for free to download now! Its run on BackerKit has already passed and it will be available for digital download Mid December 2025! (Yes- technically this is not a 2026 release but it’s close enough (and its super cool (and i do what I want))).

Diablo: The Roleplaying Game
Another well known media title, Diablo is known as an action filled dungeon crawler video game series. But now it more than that- it’s a TTRPG! Diablo: The Roleplaying Game follows much of the same format as its namesake video game does. It has an amazing team of writers and game makers behind it and they have created their own d6 dice pool system to fit all the needs of the world of Diablo. In addition to the TTRPG, they are also releasing Diablo: The Board Game in 2026. Big year for Diablo fans!
